For too long, rural communities have largely been an afterthought when political decisions were being made.

But over the coming decades, rural Australia will be centre stage. The energy transition means billions of dollars of renewable energy investment will flow into regional Australia. Farmers, who manage more than 50% of Australia’s land area will be vital in us realising our climate policies.

Come along and find out how we can seize these opportunities and what they mean for our communities. As well as how we can make politics work for us, rather than just for the politicians who for too long have presided over some of the safest seats in the country.

Speakers:

Denis Ginnivan: Former president of Voices for Indi and key strategist in the elections of Cathy McGowan and Helen Haines (independent Members for Indi).

Cambell Klose: Campaigns Director at Farmers for Climate Action.
