No time to waste: Help farmers bring action on climate this year

Power our movement of farmers and rural Australians standing up for strong climate action by making a donation today. Farmers for Climate Action is not-for-profit and community-funded, so we rely on people like you to power our work bringing farmers and decision makers together.

Before a farmer even approaches the mic to speak on climate action, they usually will have travelled upwards of 5 hours to get to the stand. Here they are tested and probed by MPs or journalists – yet stay on message and communicate the urgency of climate action due to our expert media training we provide to all farmers.

Taking farmers to Canberra is a great way to break down barriers and bureaucratic delays and with half a dozen policy roundtables and summits coming up in the second half of this year, it cannot be more urgent.

We are proud that every dollar donated goes directly to supporting farmers and climate advocacy

  • Supporting farmers to advocate on climate and energy issues, by both bringing farmers to Canberra and sending policymakers to farms
  • Engaging with thousands of farmers across Australia, from the West Australian wheatbelt to the Tasmanian vineyards in order to raise the profile of climate change within agriculture and build our movement;
  • Promoting the opportunities for farmers, farming communities and the agriculture industry from strong climate policy and building grassroots support for these opportunities;
  • Building farmers’ media and communication skills for press, interviews, and local community organising, as well as developing knowledge of climate-smart farming practices.
