Get active in your community

There are lots of ways to get active in your local area to support our work.
  • The best way is to meet with your MP or write to your local paper to share your position on climate change. Our communications toolkit will prepare you to take these actions.
  • You can also share resources and information about climate smart agriculture and climate literacy to social media groups or newsletters you might be involved with.
  • You can donate to fund a “I’m a farmer for climate action” farm gate sign – or, if you’re a farmer, sign up for one and we’ll send it to you.
  • You can also build links with FCA supporters in your region and across the country. If you’d like some ideas, you can email us at [email protected].
  • Of course, you can also follow us on social mediaFacebook, Twitter and Instagram – and share our posts to help us reach more people.

There are plenty of ways to contribute to our work and support rural and farming communities on the frontlines of climate change.

Make a one-off gift

As a small not-for-profit organisation, we rely on our community to power our critical work to support farmers and rural Australians to lead on climate solutions. Every dollar goes directly toward supporting our movement and all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Make a monthly donation

Our monthly donors are called Cli-Mates. Cli-Mates choose a monthly amount that works for them and can change that donation at any time via our website or by emailing or calling our team.

All donations from our Cli-Mates go directly toward supporting our movement and ensuring farmers’ voices are loud and clear in front of politicians and the media. Farmers are one of the only groups that can cut through the politics of climate change and making a monthly donation is one of the best ways to support this work.

Join the Seeds of Change Giving Circle

Members of our Seeds of Change Giving Circle commit annual donations of at least $5,000 for 3-5 years to enable Farmers for Climate Action’s core strategic work. Members of the Giving Circle enjoy a closer relationship with Farmers for Climate Action, impact updates and invitations to exclusive networking events. To learn more about the Seeds of Change Giving Circle, contact James at [email protected].

Leave a gift in your will

Leaving a gift in your will to Farmers for Climate Action helps to build a sustainable future for rural and farming communities across Australia. Your legacy will be a lasting commitment to supporting people most affected by the impacts of climate change. If you’d like more information about leaving a gift to Farmers for Climate Action in your will, email James at [email protected].

Fundraise for us

Giving directly to Farmers for Climate Action is a powerful way to support our work but you can also help by fundraising on our behalf!

Supporting Farmers for Climate Action in this way helps to connect more people to our work by raising awareness about climate change and how it affects farmers and rural Australians.

You might choose to hold a fundraising event – like a dinner or a morning tea, raise money as a group in your sports or community club, raise money on social media, or raise money as part of an existing event like a running festival.

However you choose to fundraise on our behalf, we will help you every step of the way. We ask all people fundraising on our behalf to get in touch with James first on [email protected] or 1800 491 633.

Volunteering at Farmers for Climate Action is a great way to meet new people, lend your skills and develop new ones to support farmers and rural Australians on the frontlines of climate change.

We don’t have any positions available right now, but always welcome expressions of interest. If you’d like to volunteer, please send us an email at [email protected].
