Adani disappointment
The Federal Environment Minister Melissa Price’s decision today to rush through Adani’s groundwater plan on the eve of the election looks like cynical politics at its worst.
Farmers and graziers across central Queensland have just endured eight straight years of drought and relied on groundwater to survive. There are still concerns about the amount of water Adani is seeking to use.
Farmers expect real leadership from our elected representatives, and a vision for a future that doesn’t put at risk the natural resources our farming communities rely on.
