New forum to build Bega community resilience after the fires

A GROUNDBREAKING NEW PROGRAM aimed at building resilience and hope in rural communities is connecting world-leading experts with Bega and the South Coast on 19 May.

Farmers for Climate Action, a group of farmers and rural leaders working to ensure farmers are a key part of the solution to climate change, are hosting a virtual Community Resilience forum for the Bega and South Coast community.

Speakers include:

 

  • Greg Mullins, AO, chair of Emergency Leaders for Climate Action and Climate Councillor
  • Dr Rob Gordon, a clinical psychologist who has been working in the field of disaster recovery since Ash Wednesday in 1983.
  • Denis Ginnivan, a grassroots political leader and foundation member of Voices for Indi.
  • Wendy Cohen, CEO of Farmers for Climate Action
