Following the launch of Farming Forever, our national plan for climate change and agriculture, will you donate to make sure that politicians representing all parties know about its key recommendations?
We know farmers are some of the most trusted voices on climate change. Which is why we are sending a delegation of 20 farmers to Canberra to meet with their local MPs and Senators. They’ll advocate to pollies about why a cohesive national plan is crucial to ensure farmers benefit from all the opportunities that will come with strong climate policies that protect Australia’s farming future.
These incredible farmers have spent the last six months taking part in our national climate smart farming scholarship where they have learnt from internationally-recognised climate experts about the tools they need to deal with a changing climate, providing them with the most up-to-date information available in Australia around building on-farm resilience to climate impacts.
We have an incredible opportunity to make sure our report, with the ideas and views of more than 600 farmers across Australia, are seen by as many decision-makers in Canberra as possible, and that the message is delivered in person by our farmers.
