Farmers for Climate Action welcomes new CEO, Natalie Collard
Farmers for Climate Action has appointed Natalie Collard to the position of CEO, following an extensive executive recruitment process.
Ms Collard joins Farmers for Climate Action to spearhead the organisation’s work pushing for strong economy-wide climate policies to protect Australian farming in mid-September.
Farmers for Climate Action Board Chair Brett Hall said Ms Collard was an outstanding candidate from a huge field of quality applicants.
“On behalf of our Board I’m so pleased to welcome Ms Collard to the CEO role in this decisive decade for climate change and pollution reduction,” Mr Hall said.
“Natalie brings a wealth of experience spanning significant agricultural sector appointments, and an excellent understanding of the need for emissions reduction in key sectors such as transport, telecommunications, renewables and government.”
Ms Collard said she was thrilled with the appointment.
“I am deeply honoured and excited to take on this pivotal role. I am proud to be part of an innovative agricultural community who are leading the way through climate-smart farming practices and using our voice to push for deep emission reduction this decade across all sectors of the economy.”

An experienced cross-sectoral executive and board director, Natalie’s most recent role was CEO for Food and Fibre Great South Coast and Quartz Group, where she is an executive coach.
Her career highlights include being awarded Telstra Business Woman of the Year – Victoria (Community and Government, 2013) and Woman in Renewables of the Year (2018) for business transformation in dairy and energy respectively.
Natalie has spoken at the United Nations, managed over $1.2bn of corporate contracts, negotiated seven bilateral agreements, including Australia’s first treaty with an organisation, NATO, and was previously Chair of Women in Renewables.
Natalie’s other career highlights include managing Rural Affairs for the National Farmers’ Federation, and leading Telstra’s Corporate Affairs for Victoria and Tasmania.
Natalie Collard joins the FCA team as CEO in mid-September.
